The Challenge

The position will be located at our Applications and Development Laboratory in Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands and will report to the Technology Senior Staff Scientist at Zwijndrecht, responsible for Foam Control Agents (FCA).

As a Technician in our Coating Additives group, you will support our growth strategy by conducting new product research and development activities in waterborne coatings applications. Responsibilities will support the coatings formulation and/or product development in, particularly, Foam Control Agents. This includes formulation, preparation, testing and involvement in scale-up.

Qualifications

  • HBO level, BSc in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Coating Industry or experience with the industrial application of surface active materials, experience with polysiloxanes being a plus.
  • Experience in development and/or technical service in the area of coatings, inks or adhesives will be an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written skills in Dutch and English.
  • Creative, independent worker with good planning tools.
  • Pro-active team player.
  • Good set of analytical and problem solving capacities.
